My mom said back in her days as a backstage mom at nutcracker performances, every one had one pocket with safety pins to keep costumes together, and the other full of bobby pins for rogue hairs.

I remember learning that Dean Jones had recently gone thru a divorce when he was cast in the show. The pain in his face and voice during "Being Alive" makes me sob every time.

Oh yeah, we're definitely about that roast chicken life. I probably eat a lot less beef now than I did as a kid, when hamburger was the dirt cheap meat.

My husband is obsessed with that beef stew. There's a place in north Seattle that makes a great bowl, and their bread is perfect.
