*was GISFerret on twitter but rebranding here*
Oh, I’d love that to be implemented here.
PMost of our communities are good at pushing developers to record before building anything (unincorporated areas need the new PINs for any permits) but then some don’t give us addresses till we hound them for it.

That’s exactly what is happening. For some reason the village is willing to let them develop the land without recording the plays and getting the taxing PIN numbers until they are ready to sell individual properties. The only (official) way we know about any new subs is the recorded documents.

Great presentation. I’m glad you were able to get it included today.

And now, to wrap up my #GISDay I celebrated by ensuring all of my PC’s are up to date with the latest version of #QGIS.

🤔 Looks like a weasel got spit out of a particle accelerator. 🫣

Fun fact: Fermilab in Batavia,IL used to use a ferret to clean parts of their main accelerator for a short time. (But not while it was operating of course)

Unfortunately we could not properly show our new Open Data portal yet. We’re still waiting on the last sign off from the lawyers to allow us to make our data fully open data*. We hoped it would be live today.

(*Don’t ask me why, that decision was above my pay grade)

Chicago (then I may be able to convince the bosses to finally let me attend)

Good luck with it. I’m still on the first few chapters. My plan is to test some time in January

I always hate seeing trees taken down, even if it is necessary. Still mourn for the maple we had in the front yard the landlord took out years ago.

I developed a lot of Python add-ins for ArcMap. When they dumped Desktop the Python add-ins were not brought over. The only add-ins that Pro will work with are Visual Studio apps.

I like them for the extra buttons that can be mapped to keyboard shortcuts in apps. I had all my QC add-ins in ArcMap set to execute commands from those shortcuts to make my work easier and faster. (Another fine set of tools killed off by Arc Pro)

Looking forward to finally being able to meet you in Chicago in a few weeks.

I have 20 years of theses files in project folders all over my network. It sure has been fun tracking them down and converting them. 🙃🫤

Will anyone need them? Probably not, but if I don’t convert one, someone will need it a month after we lose access to Arc Desktop.
