That Jacinta Allen is or is not popular has absolutely zero to do with a news story about an vehicular accident involving a teenager at Schoolies. There doesn't even need to be a photo of her at all, let alone with a caption that reads, "Allen is less popular than her opposition." Like, okay?

“as Ryan giggles bashfully” is like poetry.

Which is fine and honestly one of the things I watch his films for. Pretty people looking pretty! Love to see it. But he literally explains the job of a costume designer and says only the fashion designer does it. Bewildering. I don’t think Anderson can understand tennis any more than, oh, Ann Roth.

It’s just bizarre. Like the moment you ask somebody with a ‘controversial’ opinion to explain it and they just crumple up like tissue paper. He just likes working with glamorous fashion designers would be a better and more honest answer.

Does Luca think a traditional costume designer only designs the costume they want and then to hell with fitting, appropriateness, etc? Like,’hey, here’s a giant gown I had made, I dunno, wear it?’ That maybe seems like what he is saying, which is just insane.

I’m so confused about what he *thinks* he’s saying, rather than what he actually *is* saying.

I liked CHALLENGERS a whole lot, but I reckon most costume designers (as he wants to designate them) would understand what he’s suggesting only a fashion designer can possibly understand.

Pamela is so much better here than THE LAST SHOWGIRL by about the power of ten. She's so funny! I also thought the snowman scene was insane.
