2024 Mang Zhi from FatBat. Very clear powdered sugar taste right from the beginning, aroma of sour jammy berries, and develops a flavor of almost like pie crust later on. Such a fun tea!! This could be a good summer drink

Early session of that Dayi v93 tuo again. Needed something with a little deeper flavor today cuz it's gloomy from wildfire smoke. Gotta give myself some treats cuz I am feeling UnFriendly today. And I think it's because I need treats.

Day drinking some 2025 Spring Old Arbor Raw from W2T's may box. Second session with this #tea in two days, and honestly still surprised how drinkable it is, even with its youth. Got a fresh note almost like a green tea, but that sweet punch of a young raw. This cake won't last the week.

Friday evening walk to wrap up the week. Spent an embarrassingly long time looking for a willow flycatcher that I could hear but not see (I didn't find it). Someone in the neighborhood is grilling hot dogs. And so it goes.

2008 Dayi 801 8582. Second time with this tea and it's lovely. Very forgiving brew, but still got a surprising amount of depth for how mellow and easy-going it is. puts me in mind of a very mild apple. I'm gonna devour this tea it's such an easy drinker

2022 Dayi 2201 v93. My first factory ripe, and it's quite good. Definitely more on the woody side. Not terribly complex, but really consistent all the way through. A good one for when you just want something easy and dark to drink

Full day today. Farmers market, thrifting, celebratory lunch with the sib, long walk getting some sun (saw a bunch of orioles!) and winding everything down tonight with some shou. Loon Call in the Dark tonight. Very easy to drink and a nice way to chill before bed.
