I had been wary of people who use "anti-c" for years because contact stances as a whole used to be seen as a MAP dogwhistle as that is where they came from, but then they spread outside of that community when pro-MAP and pro-zoo people picked up "pro-para" from pro-kink people.

There's also the side that uses it to mean they think physically assaulting kids/animals is bad but also think abuse material of them and noncontact forms of abuse are okay since "well the crime already happened" (which is how the circles that coined them use it typically).

I also had to learn that some people even into adulthood are just bullies and will pick on those vulnerable to feel better about themselves. If you're not part of their group or you stand out too much or are different. They'll pick on you as a group to justify their hate.

One of the silliest things I've ever done was thinking that people that hated me and spreading rumours about me (saying I was faking being disabled). Could be reasoned with when they didn't actually care and fully knew that they were spreading lies. It was a hard lesson.
