that whoever ends ups getting elected doesnt really matter that much, since the bureaucracy just shuffles along following procedure.
upside is less chaos and corruption, downside is radical change is hard and you can end up stuck just increasing spending without fixing underlying issues 2/x

i will break my own rules and eat meat products, but only if its a cultural dish that i want to eat, or if its already cooked food that will otherwise get dumped (this comes up maybe once every month or 2?)

i personally ended up on:
eating most fish/shellfish is fine
chicken is probably fine
no other meat, eggs, or dairy
products that use "leftovers", like whey, are probably fine, and honestly its way too much effort to cut all those out
this gets me like 90% of the benefits for 10% of the effort

i think the law would probably come down on them like a ton of bricks (and rightfully so). these stories are so egregious that idc if rule changes temporarily make these LLMs legally unfeasible, if OpenAI knew there "products" could do this, higher-ups should be in jail, facing down long sentences.

idk at least for now, these LLMs need to be treated as extensions of their corporations, as if they were a human employee. (idk the exact law or right words here but) if a human employee of OpenAI, acting on behalf of OpenAI, on orders from their boss, acted like CtatGPT did in the Raine case 1/x
