We used to “ski” down snow- and ice-covered alleys on our leather-soled shoes. I still have a very small scar on my butt after colliding with a wire fence at the bottom of the hill.

I am reading Montaigne and his writings against medicine are much the same as what we hear from the U.S. today. Of course, Montaigne wrote in the 1500s, which makes RFK Jr. and his ilk great minds of the 16th Century.
