My first solo-authored book is coming out in July with @cambridgeup.bsky.social! It has been a long journey, starting with my dissertation work in Colombia 10 years ago. I am excited to see it out (with a big thank you to the colleagues, mentors, & many others who supported the ideas and work).

Panic? It’s certainly a keyword that captures the sentiment around AI in education today. With AI dramatically changing how students learn and how teachers teach, schools are scrambling to keep up in the homework apocalypse. But instead of panic, it’s time to plan one that integrates AI safely while empowering students and teachers. By focusing on age-appropriate use and open communication, schools can turn AI from a threat into an ally in education.
