This is so frightening!
President-elect Trump has picked a leading figure in Project 2025 to head the Office of Management and Budget. The would-be nominee, Russell Vought, has spent the last four years making plans to rework the American government to enhance presidential power. nyti.ms/4fWGE9p

This is so frightening and abhorrent, I feel like I am suddenly in the 18th century!
Speaker Mike Johnson said single-sex facilities in the U.S. Capitol and House office buildings would be available only to those of that biological sex, backing a move from Representative Nancy Mace to target Representative-elect Sarah McBride, the first openly transgender person elected to Congress.

I've got some #BreakingNews for everyone on BlueSky.

Tomorrow Justin Trudeau is caving to an NDP demand: A winter GST holiday.

What he won't do is make it permanent — an NDP government will.

This is a big win for working people.

But the fight isn't over — never back down.

CUPW is resisting a two-tier workforce for good reasons. Two-tier contracts are a recipe for resentment & disunity in unions. When employers are allowed to divide and conquer, it only emboldens them to fight for greater concessions next time around.

Hydropower is the world’s most widely used form of renewable energy, propelling development in South America, parts of China and India, and much of sub-Saharan Africa.

But over the past two years, a wave of extreme droughts has wrought havoc on this critical energy supply.
Why hydropower is failing this nation — and could fail others
