Oh yeah, while I loved 3 HD-2D, this was my biggest sticking point. In the original, magic was extremely valuable at the cost that it was extremely rare to replenish outside of an inn. I also feel similarly about zoom and evac costing 0 mp (evac now feeling entirely pointless to exist anyway)
