I'm working on a paper about if A.I. is a bubble or not. Mainly looking at the dotcom bubble and seeing if there were similar claims back then as they are making now and then making comparisons on how A.I. growth will play out in the world economy if successful. Lots of contradictions are emerging.

Shabazz is a CEO that cares, but more than that he has the chops to do this. His career path and trajectory are proof enough.

NYC is missing out on a great product and a fantastic champion of sensible urban bike infrastructure.

Do your thing Shabazz, you deserve better.

Are you sure we need everything to be cloud based?

Do you not think we should start looking at decentralized ways to host websites?

Sidewalk parking in NYC boils my blood.
Inspired by @jehiah.cz and @nyc.streetsblog.org filed an illegal sidewalk parking complaint today. "The New York City Police Department responded to the complaint and their investigation determined that police action was not necessary." 28 day till Eric Adams leaves office.

Eric Adams supports sidewalk parking.
Adrienne Adams supports sidewalk parking.
Selvena Brooks-Powers supports sidewalk parking.

If they argue or resent that assessment they can pass Intro 80 or start ticketing vehicles on the sidewalk consistently.

A friendly reminder for the world that Milo Yiannopoulus still owes me $6,000. It has been about 10 years since he sublet my apartment in London during one of his most difficult times when the Kernel collapsed. He promised to pay me as soon as he could afford it.

Then he became a self hating Nazi.

If I wanted to upgrade my DDR5 RAM to my system's maximum capacity. I would need:

SEVEN HUNDRED US DOLLARS TODAY.

In a few months potential $1,500

THIS IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.
with Micron announcing they're shutting down Crucial cos they only want to sell RAM to the AI hyperscalers, I have today's Pivot story

but obv this was coming

1. good stuff to add/anecdotes?
2. what to advise the populace? Mine so far is "get components now, prices aren't going down for a while"

Fun day building my tower and came across an error in my system set up. Used Gemini to debug it and it insisted things were wrong that weren't and then tried to get me to do an RMA because apparently it doesn't like Nvidia cards and thinks they are too unstable.

I'm really fucking tired of these entitled European immigrants coming to America and acting like they understand anything about America or how it's meant to thrive with zero evidence.

I really miss the maker tech community and how big it used to be. It was full of really useful ideas and cool art projects and then it kinda just went away after Elon Showed up with his space bullshit.

I just pulled one of my makerbots out of the shipping box that came here after us.

Both axes have come out and the extruder has completely come off as a result. All the wires seem to be intact and there are no bends or breaks.

This is going to be a fun repair because then I can print objects!

Alrighty, my tower of dreams is fully functional. I'm installing all the model runners now.

Windows is so junk. Once I obliterated it and installed Linux everything worked a lot faster.

That OS is pure garbage. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what I can accomplish with 200 tokens per second.

November 27, 2025 at 9:45 AM
My latest work has been suffering due to super slow Token Per Second (5-11) on my laptop so I have now invested into a tower that will process 200 TPS on a local Large Language Model and will also run image and video generation models like Stable Diffusion with no problems.

I just got this cool butterfly handsaw for firewood foraging. It's super light because it has a real thin blade but lots of sharp teeth. And it folds up real nice in a backpack. I hope it cuts through wood like butter. 🤞
