Albertans: the UCP are indeed corrupt,disingenuous,lacking integrity and honesty. They are not interested in protecting our climate, land, children, standard of living/Alberta. But they’ve given Albertans what they hadn’t intended. We are now awake, reevaluating values and more united and stronger.👏🏻

Afternoon walk. It’s +3C, quiet and feels as if we are awaiting the arrival of snow. I think I love this time of the year best for the feels.

There are naysayers who feel calling MLAs won’t change anything. They’re wrong. Ralph Klein’s caucus stopped him from invoking s.33 after their constituents rose up. The UCP, in particular, has done big policy U-turns after their MLAs received pressure from constituents. -Jared Wesley

Walking thru a narrow street toward the cathedral. The morning sun shines brightly between tall homes highlighting balconies with geraniums and arched doorways. At the end of the narrow street two people merge onto the main corso in front of the cathedral and into the morning sun.

Another week has sped past. Nurture yourself in nature.

Every change of season is my favourite. September has a sweetness, a poignancy that seems to wrap and carry me gently toward the dark cold months. Despite the outward chaos, September sings a peaceful song.
Learning to not let the chaos invade and conquer.

We were full moon eclipsed this week. Though the moon from my terrace looks blood red, it’s only the particles from forest fires in British Columbia creating the colour. Beautiful but it was poor air quality. Still…. It was beautiful.

It’s Salmon run time that epic tortuous journey to spawn. By the time the salmon make it to Rearguard Falls they are fatigued and battered. Then they reach the high falls that seem impossible to scale. To watch them try repeatedly to manage the climb is profoundly moving.

Best thing I did for my wellbeing this August was to canvas for the #ForeverCanadian Petition

Alberta landscape is so varied. This is a typical summer warm afternoon when the cumulonimbi clouds roll in with an afternoon shower. The August ripening fields glow gold against the high white clouds and the deep violet splashes of downpour.

UCP rescinded 44 yr old Coal Policy quietly before a May Long Weekend and opened this area in the eastern slopes to Australian companies- RAM, Valory, Aurum, Oros and CIP to coal mining exploration. This is the headwater of the North Saskatchewan River- provider of drinking water for Edmonton and into Saskatchewan, and environmentally sensitive area for watershed as we have entered climate change
