8 years since I rode a horse. My retired mare is living her best life in a 25hectare paddock with a gelding & 20 cows as companions. My new mare has just turned 15. I am her 9th owner, she's been with me for 3yrs now & she's ok to be lightly ridden after a lot of health probs. We rode today. Bliss 😁
My Chestnut mare Ruby, looking relaxed standing in the shade after our first ride out today. She was perfect. Stood still as I got on the saddle, did everything I asked for and better still half passed up to the mounting block so I could dismount safely.

This duck was in my orchard with her babies this morning. There was a crow stalking her, I chased it off as she headed to the river with them. Hope she made it nature can be cruel at times. Humans need to remember that & hope our actions don't come back & bite us.We need the earth it doesn't need us

Looking after 3 dogs and 4 horses atm.
I 1000% prefer horse sitting to cat or dog sitting. Cats and dogs miss their owners and try to run off. Horses are like "Oh, you're the new person feeding me? Ok so I'm not sure if they told you but I get 12 bales of hay, 2 bags of grain and 38 carrots a day".
