Fabian! Nice to see Cozens' line get one. They've been great.

The Tkachuk-Cozens-Zetterlund line have generated 75 CF% (9-3) and 83.33 percent of the expected goals today. If that line clicks...

Lines this aft to start from the Senators' Jackson Starr:

Perron-Stützle-Batherson
Tkachuk-Cozens-Zetterlund
Amadio-Pinto-Giroux
Cousins-Eller-Hodgson

Sanderson-Zub
Kleven-Spence
Matinpalo-Jensen

Merilainen
November 28, 2025 at 8:57 PM
The Senators announce that Leevi Merilainen will start this afternoon's game against the Blues. Likely means that Linus Ullmark will get the nod Sunday vs the Stars and Tuesday versus the Canadiens.
November 28, 2025 at 7:40 PM
The Senators send centre Stephen Halliday down to accommodate for Brady Tkachuk's return this afternoon. Halliday picked up his first NHL point during his four-game recall. Does not feel like he's too far removed from being an NHLer.

Happy Brady Tkachuk returns day, Ottawa.
November 28, 2025 at 11:38 AM
Stützle and Batherson have been playing at higher than a point-per-game clip in Tkachuk's absence. Where would you slot Brady when he returns? Frontload the top line where there are only so many touches? Put Tkachuk with Cozens to stagger the talent and create matchup problems?
November 26, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Brady Tkachuk announces on his 'Wingmen' podcast that he will in fact be returning to the lineup Friday afternoon (4 pm ET) to take on the Blues in St. Louis.
November 26, 2025 at 2:37 PM
The points are great, but the Senators kicking off their 7-game road trip with two wins in regulation cannot be understated.

15-COL
10-CAR,DAL,PIT,WPG,WSH,FLA
9-ANA,NYI,CHI,VGK,DET,TBL
8-MIN,NJD,OTT,UTA,BOS
7-SEA,BUF,NYR,STL
6-LAK,MTL,CBJ,TOR,CGY

ICYMI on the weekend, here is my latest on Tim Stützle's pursuit of self-improvement.

Here's my latest for @thehockeynews.bsky.social on Tim Stützle's development and how he has continued to work for self-improvemen:

Without His Wingman, Senators Top Gun Tim Stützle Continues Relentless Drive To Improve
Tim Stützle co-leads the Senators in goals and points but continues to refine the important parts of his overall game that don't make the highlight reels.

The last time the Senators finished above .500 in November was the 2016-17 season when they were 9-5-1.
The Senators start their 7-game road trip with a massive win in Anaheim. Brings their record to 4-1-3 in November, capturing points in 7 of 8 games.

Stephen Halliday gets his first point in the NHL on that Shane Pinto power play goal.
November 21, 2025 at 4:41 AM
Watching the second episode of 'Wingmen' and Brady Tkachuk mentions that he hopes to return to the lineup around American Thanksgiving (Thurs, Nov 27th).
November 19, 2025 at 3:22 PM
The Senators announce that they have reacquired Dennis Gilbert. Gilbert was part of the trade deadline deal that brought Dylan Cozens to the Sens in exchange for Josh Norris. The Sens deal RFA Max Guenette to Philadelphia for Gilbert. Gives the Sens another left-shot depth option
November 17, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Unbelievable feed by Batherson to feed Timmy. 4-3 Sens with 5:43 left in the third.
November 14, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Pinto off a brilliant feed by Amadio on a two-on-one. 3-1 Sens
November 14, 2025 at 2:00 AM
This is Fabian Zetterlund's best game as an Ottawa Senator. Doing the digging and working hard to create chances for his linemates. Feeds Dylan Cozens and it's 2-0 Ottawa.
November 14, 2025 at 12:44 AM
That power play goal is Ottawa's first in their last eight games. They were 0 for 19 in their previous seven games.
November 14, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Timmy finds G-money for the tap in on the power play. 1-0 Sens.

Never been one to divulge much personal stuff, but I had a small scare recently that luckily got caught early. I wrote about it for @thehockeynews.bsky.social:

Perron-Stutzle-Batherson
Amadio-Pinto-Giroux
Greig-Cozens-Zetterlund
MacDermid-Eller-Cousins

No Chabot this morning. Defensive pairings were all jumbled with three defencemen per side of the ice. Everyone was seemingly rotating with everyone.
