The replacement LH-61 lens hood for my venerable Olympus Zuiko 14-45mm zoom arrived this morning. The original had become loose ages ago to the point of annoyance. Tiny wins are still wins.

My "new" Lumix 14-140mm zoom came sans lens hood. Maybe to be expected for a 2nd-hand lens. Can I find one to buy? Yes, but the only one is in the US & stupidly expensive. I'd like an eye-cup for my Sony RX10-IV, too. Also like hen's teeth & a snip at just £60!

The Lumix 14-140mm / f4 Vario G lens to replace my faulty MFT Olympus 14-42mm kit lens arrived from Japan today. Quite a quick delivery really, despite having to pay another £40 import duty. It looks really good, though - the 1st couple of shots look very crisp.

When you get an error message on your camera (Olympus OM-D E-M10 III in this case) saying "Please check the status of a lens" (ote: "A" lens, not "THE" lens! 14-42mm kit lens in this case) you just know it's not good. It's a common fault, apparently. [Cont.]

I'm thinking of trying M42 lenses on my Olympus MFT OM-D E-M10 III & E-M1X. They can be picked up very cheaply & as they'd be completely manual, it may help improve my technique. I've never used these obsolete lenses, though. Any tips or recommendations, anyone?
