Earlier this month our colleagues Helen Kettle and Oli Ward enjoyed the Conference on Models in Population Dynamics, Ecology, and Evolution 2025 in Bilbao www.bioss.ac.uk/news-events/...

We then had a @bioss.bsky.social General Meeting over the last couple of days at @hutton.ac.uk's Invergowrie campus. It was great to hear about some ongoing research, catch up with colleagues, and be given the chance to introduce myself and reflect on 2025's adventures. Busy times - more to come!

It has been a busy week! First up, it was great fun to be away with @thecooperationband.bsky.social representing Scotland last weekend in Stavanger at the European Brass Band Championships. As you can see, we were delighted with our 5th place finish!

In my spare time, I enjoy playing the euphonium in ensembles including @thecooperationband.bsky.social and the Dunbartonshire Concert Band. I am also an elder in the Church of Scotland, a keen munro bagger, cyclist, and parkrunner.

Before joining @bioss.bsky.social a few months ago, I was based at @physicsstrath.bsky.social @unistrathclyde.bsky.social, where in my PhD and EPSRC Doctoral Prize I theoretically and numerically investigated light-ultracold matter interactions.
