Gravity Daze was released on PS Vita in Japan 13 years ago today! Did you know the game was originally planned for PS3? It was Shuhei Yoshida who suggested switching development to the PS Vita instead. It would go on to become one of the system's most memorable titles.

Every year on August 10, flowers bloom around the memorial in Radale Memorial Park. The text says "In memory of Norihiko Takami". The symbols on the grave represent Siren, Puppeteer and Gravity Rush. Norihiko was credited in all three of these games. #gravityrush2 #gravitydaze2

I was looking through old screenshots and was reminded of how much I like the Candle Zone area in Gravity Rush 2. You can see how the developers had a lot of freedom creating the rift planes. The candle zone in particular has an otherworldly, contradictory ("underwater but not really") feel to it.

It's February 9 in Japan now, which means it's been exactly 12 years since the original release of Gravity Daze on PS Vita in Japan! A remastered version was eventually released for PS4. With Sony now working on a movie, I hope they'll consider releasing the game on PC as well!

Now that I had time to sit down and watch the video in more detail, I'd be surprised if this is actually a scene from the movie. This looks more like an early tech demo designed to explore the feasibility of the project. I hope we'll get some clarification soon.
