❡ Some Promised Neverland zine drawings I made back in 2021-2022! This series has been near and dear to my heart for the longest time, it genuinely rewired the HECK out of my monster-liking brain when I first read it (ESPECIALLY GOLDY POND) 👹🥀

Two human girls, Emma & Violet, stand fearful yet determined in the center of the piece. Emma is holding an axe above her head as though ready to swing, an intense look on her face as she glares at the demons below her.

Below them is Luce, a relatively small demon with large, twisted horns and four arms. He is waving around a vicious-looking dagger, claws raised towards the girls with a gleefully wicked expression on his face. He is flanked by a pack of hulking, patchwork demons on either side, heads tilted eerily as they stare at the viewer.

Leuvis, a tall demon in a black cloak and hat, looms menacingly behind the others like a large shadow. He is looking down silently at the other characters, his purple pet monkey-demon-thing, Parvus, hanging playfully from Leuvis' shoulder just above the girls.

Several human children (Norman, Ray, Emma, & Carol) gaze at the viewer near the bottom of the piece, bearing serious, yet grim expressions. They appear to be standing atop a large dinner plate resting on a white tablecloth decorated with red flowers.

Above the children loom two of their human caretakers (Isabella & Sister Krone), as well as a group of imposing demons in masks and cloaks. Their clothes are mostly dark, a stark contrast to the bright white of the children's own uniforms. Their caretakers have knowing smiles and almost mocking expressions as they look down upon their children.

A large demon in a heavy black cloak towers beside Isabella, hunched over in a menacing manner. He is delicately carrying a red spider lily in his massive claws right above the children's heads. In the very back are several more demons of various shapes and sizes, each with grotesque, twisting features and horned masks. They all stare down at the humans with wide-eyed, unreadable expressions.

His expression is both irritated and fearful, his pose startled as he catches sight of two grotesque demons hovering just inches above the humans through the tree branches, the two children seemingly unaware of what is behind them.

The demon's faces are a terrifying array of far too many teeth and eyes, jaws snapping dangerously close to the trio. They are rendered in a much more scribbly, almost chaotic manner compared to the humans.

My buddy pointed out their new weird spaghetti proportions reminded him of those freaky deep sea bigfin squids and oh my god dude I think my mind has been opened
