It is genuinely wild how this has blown up in QT's face. Just a wild miscalculation for one of the most powerful directors in the business to go on an asshole's podcast and punch down so gleefully against good actors that everyone likes

Scream and Five Nights at Freddy's star Matthew Lillard has admitted it "it f***ing sucks" to be on the receiving end of an insult from Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino. https://bit.ly/3KD9PnN

People, you have an ethical responsibility. Most of your fellow filmgoers will have similar feelings as you but be hesitant to express them for fear of confrontation. You need to be courageous enough to do the right thing, and tell the chatty little shits to shut their goddamn mouths.
Is it acceptable to just yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP" when people are talking during a movie? Asking in advance before this movie starts because I just have a real bad feeling these people are going to ruin my movie date for my birthday and I'll fight.

Silver lining of cancelling Netflix months ago is that I didn’t get that bullshit email they’re sending everyone to hype up the tens of billions of debt they’re incurring in a quest to ruin cinema. And I can safely say that not a single day has gone by where I have missed the service.

After the recent joy of Hard Boiled in a packed theater it hit me that one of the tragedies of capitalism’s manifestation of our tech age is that on top of imprisoning us in gilded cages disconnected from shared reality, they are transforming communal experience into an expensive, uncommon novelty.
James Gunn says theatrical releases are “incredibly important” for DC after the Warner Bros & Netflix merger news

“The communal theatrical experience is something that is incredibly important & remarkably well suited to our big spectacle films”

I wasn't online yesterday so I'll just say today that Netflix suck so fucking bad. They are an enemy of cinema and of community. They have been since their "innovations" shut down video stores far and wide at the end of the 00s, and they continue to show their only interest is to consume film spaces

Oh, they are already at that stage of damage control. Remember, anyone who says this stupid shit is just trying to capitalize on perceived divisive elitism and is playing a PR game.

"We didn't make this for the people who like movies. We made it for you pigs at the feeding trough who eat it up!"

Quentin Tarantino says 'There Will Be Blood' had a chance to be his greatest film of the 21st century if it didnt have Paul Dano in it

"it’s supposed to be a two-hander, but ... [Dano] is weak sauce, man ... He’s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. The weakest fucking actor in SAG [laughs]"
