Most of Massachusettes remains drier than average, but interestingly not in an official drought status. Cape is the driest.

Showers and thunderstorm line has weakened but there are still some downpours. Threat of severe weather basically over.

Active weather over Western Massachusetts will continue to press East the rest of the afternoon and into the first half of the evening. Some of these storms will be reaching severe category especially west of the coastline.

As this fall's drought expands, it's worth noting that the past decade has seen more drier than average falls, (similar to the first half of 20th century) and we are also trending warmer due to human induced warming. The combo of the two makes fall droughts more likely for now.

It is quite humid today and will be more humid Saturday, but drier air takes over for Sunday. Map shows dew points falling Saturday night into Sunday morning from the 70ish to the 50s.
