Just openly cheering the destruction of any representation of gay people in public space. They think their power is totally unrestricted, and the entire country will support them rolling back society to the 1950s, or maybe the 1850s

Very true! Interesting reads are some of the books that document the genesis of Star Trek. The suits could not stomach a black female officer on the bridge, let alone a female as second in command (the first pilot). We are all prisoners of our own times, no matter our forward flying imaginations.

This treatment was sadly common in these. A horrid practice was they often give scientist women male names. It's as if the writers/producers thought an accomplished and smart woman would push the "suspension of disbelief" a little too far! So a male first name would soften the blow. Heh!

Many people still dont understand how fucked we are. "Trump" is now an empire. His extended family are all billionairs. His org has dozens of billionairs and 100s of millionaires as members. All working to bend America into the shape they want. This is not going away.

Great film. Has the dubious distinction of being one of those great films that got dubbed and edited into gibberish when distributed in the states. It seems a main plot element really gave the puritanical sensors the vapors.

Ive read some material, mostly in alternative religious studies, that these were inscribed with symbols and thrown as a type of deviation. Sort of like how some use coins in I Ching.
