Also, maybe I've read it wrong, but I guess you don't need Beyond the Grave to unlock all extras. Got all cutscenes and models unlocked now.

Holy shit, cleared max dif. AND got second highest rank you can get without having to get all As. Beyond the Grave rank is absolutely doable if I grind out routes and good times to hit poses and hit Demolition Shots (afaik they add to style meter) but I'm pretty satisfied for now.

Ok, this movie might actually lean a little too far into some sort of parody. They keep repeating the same one joke of killers barely putting in the effort and not taking anything seriously.

She jumps out the window like in the first movie, but the window frame doesn't break so she sorta gets stuck, so they cut to a different shot where her arms aren't even in the same position. I can't tell if it's "fix it in editing" thing or intentional joke, but it's funny all the same.

Guy who just read War with the Newts: This really makes me think of War with the Newts. The book has a fairly depressing ending about humanity killing itself, but near the end, Capek breaks the fourth wall by arguing with himself how he didn't wish for this outcome either.

Props to the psychotic IGN review though, which gave the game a 5/10, but had the reviewer argue against his own points through "good doktor, bad doktor" characters. Where the evil one is the one that liked the game.

Not gonna bother trying to get the best rank, but it does give me more appreciation for how they put this together. Hardly the mindless button masher that some contemporary reviews painted it as, even though it's still fun if you wish to play it as one.

Also, I found the place where the game stores your best result (time feels off cause runs are much longer than 32 minutes). I assume "Beyond the Grave" title does sort of act as full clear, since it requires all As or better. So you really gotta grind out pathing and execution for it.

Finished Hard clear, got a better overall rating too. Probably could've gotten better if I remembered to heal at the end (iirc that works for remaining life?) and remembered to do more poses. Gonna try for Kick Ass clear tomorrow.
