In the case of Lor'themar, it's both. When I rescued him his belly was full of trash from the dumpster he was living in. Now he's my pampered prince and he's eternally grateful. He's also a shameless Casanova who makes every woman who visits my apartment swoon at his affections.

Is the following vague statement from the Sheriff, which reads more like a threat than reassurance. And now we know that 24 people are being held in the Kenosha county jail with ICE detainers, but we have no further details.

Daniel Ruth public information officer Kenosha County Sheriff Zoerner today released the following statement on his agency's approach to US immigration and customs enforcements 287g program which allows participating law enforcement agencies to perform specified immigration officer functions under the agency's direction and oversight. I am very familiar with the 287g program and have explored it thoroughly. I have attended training provided by the US customs and border protection at the US Southern border and have further been engaged in sheriff's training regarding the 287g program. Based on current conditions at this time, the Kenosha County sheriff's office is not participating. This is a rapidly evolving program. We are monitoring it to ensure that our participation would ultimately be in the best interest of the taxpayers of Kenosha County. In consultation with the County administration, we are not confident that would be the case at this time. We are sharing information with ICE as appropriate and required by law. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the 287g program and will consider participation if it is ultimately deemed in the best interest of Kenosha County. Currently, 24 inmates on ice detainers are in the Kenosha County jail with other local criminal charges pending.

So I know all eyes are on Chicago right now but I want to bring everyone's attention to Wisconsin for a moment. The Milwaukee police union is going full pick-me for the fascists, begging Donald Trump to send in the national guard. They're also begging for a raise they don't deserve. We have had

We know that more police is not the answer. In July 2024, more than $4,500 police officers from across the country descended into Milwaukee for the Republican national convention. Police took over the downtown area with heavy patrols and checkpoints, but this didn't make Milwaukee residents safer. Instead five officers from Columbus, Ohio murdered Milwaukee Community member Samuel Sharp Jr. (A crime for which they were shamefully acquitted in May 2025). Based on The national guard's escalating presence in Los Angeles and Washington, DC. The idea of deploying the national Guard to Milwaukee is chilling. If police from Ohio got away with murder. What more could the National Guard get away with? In one article, MPA president Ayala mentions combating street takeovers with security checkpoints. This illustrates a growing trend between the US trying to implement oppressive tactics at home that they support and fund abroad, and at the border. Throughout the West Bank, The Israeli occupation uses security checkpoints to intimidate, harass, humiliate, arrest, and murder Palestinians attempting to simply move from one place to another. Not only do our tax dollars go directly to Israel funding the checkpoints in genocide, but US police routinely study tactics used by the Israeli occupation Force and even have programs where the US police and the iof train together. At the border, ice and other militarized border agents, repress brutalize and murder individuals Who are fleeing in many cases because US intervention has destroyed their homelands. Already, we've seen 19 states use the National Guard to assist ICE with their deportation rates. Milwaukee is part of Trump's growing plan to deploy National Guard troops across the country, including Chicago, Baltimore, and New Orleans. This isn't about public safety; it's a violent intimidation tactic meant to instill fear and to control cities that defend their black and brown communities. The connection is clear. The US is attempting to bring into our neighborhoods, the oppression they support abroad and at the margins. No to the National Guard in Milwaukee!
