if you get a good protein powder and some frozen fruit, u can do any combination of (non-dairy) milk + fruit + protein that your heart desires, and they are SO good especially in the summer!! for protein bars i like the IQ Bar and One brands :)

i dont eat meat either! it ends up being a lot of lean dairy, whole grains and protein bars/smoothies for me haha
i've also done it the unhealthy way tho and i feel u, it's not easy

idk if this will help you, but i try to focus on increasing grams of protein rather than cutting cals; you can absorb 20-30g at a time and need i think one gram per pound of body weight a day? it's the premise behind The Abs Diet; i do NOT have abs lol but i enjoy the foods and stay relatively trim
