2) One woman refusing to give up a seat changed the culture, amended a flawed nation's foundation story. May we honor her, individually and collectively, replicating her bravery in our own spheres of influence: a word, a deed, even a change of heart can make a difference. #RosaParks

1) Today marks the 70th anniversary. Moral courage has never been in short supply in this country; but it seldom arrives via anointed heroes. Spontaneous resistance - quiet, steady, right-not-might guiding the activist's personal quest - defines our corrective progress over 249 years. #RosaParks

Ann Telnaes won 2 Pulitzers for political cartooning for the now fully corrupted @washingtonpost.com. She quit the paper when MAGA bootlicker Jeff Bezos pulled one of her cartoons from the Post earlier this year.

Like many others, she won't be stopped.

"What AIDS shows us is the limits of tolerance, that it’s not enough to be tolerated, because when the shit hits the fan you find out how much tolerance is worth. Nothing. And underneath is intense, passionate hatred.”

One of these women is a shallow, inhuman fabrication, a pawn in a narrow, exploitative male construct; the other is a mail-order blow-up doll.

Yet to quote Agatha Christie, the mirror cracked. And shattered glass is deadly.

She voted against the bill.
Now takes credit for it.

Do no trust any of them.
Ever.

So her doc simply titled "Melania" will released in theaters worldwide on 1/30/26; directed by Brett Ratner, disgraced filmmaker. Will we finally learn how she got a genius Visa? Whether she ever grabbed Justin Trudeau by the tom cat, using Access Hollywood tape protocols? If she has a double?

A fully eradicated disease, now having a virulent comeback, thanks to the irresponsible placement of a conspiracist in charge of public health. Dear Citizens: you get the America you vote for.

The Commander in Chief, the day a solider he alone placed in harm's way left America and the planet.

RIP, the great Stoppard. His last play, Leopoldstadt, was an ambitious small-scale epic of an extended family's ascension post-pogroms in Viennese society and demise during the Holocaust. All the signatures: dense dialog, challenging structure, and an added autobiographical component.

Sounds high to me.

"Trump’s approval rating has fallen 5 points to 36%, lowest of his second term, while disapproval has risen to 60%. His prior second-term low was a statistically similar 37% in July, his all-time low 34% in 2021, after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol." Gallop

Let us dare to toast Brazil, a nation unafraid to embrace a foundational resistance to authoritarianism. When confronted with a criminal blowhard, they have the wisdom to lock the mofo up.

November 28, 1942. 83 years ago today. Coffee was rationed. As coffee prices now soar due to a willfully negligent, hubristic, economically incompetent leader, irony duly noted.

If she were in the White House today, well, many things that have happened would not have happened. Let's leave it there. Happy Thanksgiving to VP Harris - and the America that we almost had.

“Something {had} just came over the wires about a demonstration at Kent State. The National Guard opened fire and some students got shot. 'Are they dead?' Nixon asked. He kept after me all day for more facts. Hoping rioters had provoked the shooting."

Pirro is a self-aggrandizing fraud, in public service only to enhance her wizened brand. Watching her inarticulate attempt to frame an entirely Trump-driven tragedy is a defining moment in darkest 2025 America. History will place this horror next to Kent State: its mirror image.
