Digital graphic artist (mash-up-ish). Renewable energy investor (not seeking new prospects). Tabletop gamer (RPG and non-RPG). Musician (piano). Ferret hoarder (obsessive). Programmer (AGK). Audiophile (the obnoxious kind). Ex-husband (ha).
They eventually were defending, but I use maps to help the players visualize their surroundings even when just in an RP situation. So the map was mostly used for RP, oddly enough.

we've had so much fun with this set. It's one of my favorites. Goes great with the plains biome set with all the hill shadings.

By the dark and hairy ass of the lord of hell, Trump forgot to slap a 50% tariff on outer space! What an oversight.

But whenever I complained, I was reminded of the hell of 1960s punch cards.

Could scare him even further with 80s IT trauma.. using single-sided 400k disks to backup a 100mb harddrive with a single floppy drive that alternately needs 1) the system disk, 2) the application disk, 3) and the destination data disk. The process took 5 hours of steady disk swapping.

My Freshman college roommate and I both got the exact same Macintosh for our high school graduation. And we'd both bought Prince of Persia. We probably played that thing waaaaaay too much. Prince of Persia 2 was even more fun. Mac glory days.

even though I don't speak it, I've long felt Japanese is a more intelligent language. For example, there are no spelling bees in Japan. Since every symbol is a syllable, everything is spelled exactly as it sounds. I've never understood why only the far east has languages that use this style.

seriously tho, it's a fun game to play. Boring AF to watch, and like graveyards it belongs to a time when people didn't need to think about conserving land resources, but IMO it's fun to play. Miniature golf, too.

Yeah, I thought Middle Earth.

"Bandobras 'Bullroarer' Took, a large hobbit, charged into the goblin ranks, struck their king, Golfimbul, with a club, and knocked his head off. The head flew through the air and landed in a rabbit hole, which the hobbits then considered to be the first game of golf."

Me school you? Surprising! You could be a university professor in Photoshop.

The shadows _do_ have to be cut back a bit when you do that to make it look right; they overlap unconvincingly. So it's not a good technique for pure roll20'ers.

It was fun, funny, catchy, and educational. Not much in the world fits all that.

Have had a lot of fun with this set. You can get really tall cliffs by creating a new layer below the main, and shrinking the cliff elements. Then create another layer below _that_ that shrinks the elements even more. Absolutely realistic looking results.

In our time measurement system, it counts zero. 7 am (and zero milliseconds) is definitely 7 am, not the previous hour. So the same would be true for the Tomorrow Line of midnight, I think.

(probably goes without saying, but BritBox streams every British show I've ever heard of)
July 25, 2025 at 7:01 PM
That is amazing. What a scam.

We use the BritBox app to stream shows. Wonderful app/website, no commercials, reasonable rates, A+ customer service.
