👋🏻 hello! As an independent curator I bring outstanding artists, scientists and organisations together to curate award-winning new artworks, exhibitions, programmes, research and events with and for diverse publics. Looking forward to opening up some new conversations and sharing news here :-)

no, I don't think so. I visited and no doubt peed in all the major museums in London throughout my childhood. But fair to say I don't remember the actual loos.

Ok #museums people, so an anecdote from Bethany Hughes on BBC #Radio4 suggested that kids weren't allowed to use the toilets in the #BritishMuseum in 1972. Surely some mistake? I reckon her aunt didn't want to take her. Am sure I used museum loos in the 70s but can't remember my first pee at the BM

I think she spoke wonderfully and am hugely grateful. She's making a vital point that this isn't about making trouble it's about putting people first

Most excellent top tip from my 14 yo - if you add various expletives (excluding "bloody") to your Google search you do NOT get given any AI answer, just the regular responses. Simples

I block accounts with comedy names, suspected AI-gen profile pics and apparently only reposts. Sorry if this is you and you’re a genuine person I’d love to chat with IRL but I suspect most of being bots.

The entire modern internet has been built on platforms that don’t believe in asking for consent. What if we started demanding a culture of consent online? www.anildash.com//2025/05/27/...

Bad news for people who want the correct info too (as I write 14yo is laughing head off at all the wrong Inspector Calls quotes Google no-click AI is chucking out at him)...

It’s bad news for publishers reliant on traffic-driven advertising revenue… though good news for Google, which plans to monetise AI results through paid placements.

Full story in the new Private Eye, out now.

If you listened in to this and were wondering how @suoman.bsky.social 's portrait worked out, we were all rather pleased.. more on the Data as Culture website culture.theodi.org/constant-was...

While I was in the MRI tube this eve, I was on the radio: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/..., reflecting on the meaning, power and politics of AI, and using art to communicate AI to people

I also talked about Blast Theory's #ConstantWashingMachine - curated by @hannahredlerhawes.bsky.social

I’m saying big tech has to stop whining and design better without stealing creatives’ stuff
hannahredlerhawes.bsky.social
I agree. My point is Big tech has to suck up the law. I actively support artists and research and campaign for creative rights in these systems :-)
hannahredlerhawes.bsky.social
I don’t “agree with Nick” (people who saw him campaign for UK PM will get that) but if it does, boo hoo. Creatives and people in the arts rely on finding creative ways to survive, and we sure have a lot to adapt to now. So big tech will have to shift its plans too? Big deal, just stop whining.
