I had a scary dream last night.

A giant drum-set with legs, and an angry looking keyboard, were chasing after me.
Gloria Estefan in tow, was singing:

"the rhythm is gonna get you rhythm is gonna get you
rhythm is gonna get youu

rhythm is gonna get you
TONIGHT!"

A little bit of excitement from last night. The northern lights very rarely ever make it down into central California. Had to go out and see what I could capture.

🇺🇸 This #Veterans Day, honor our vets by sharing the facts. For many veterans, service doesn’t end when they come home. Veterans make up nearly 1 in 4 federal employees, and 15% of the National Park Service. The federal government is the largest employer of veterans in the country. #VeteransDay #NPS

This movie line, derived from Sagan philosophy, really guides me.

The overly competitive deceitful scientist (David Drumlin) in the film Contact (1997), had said
“Unfortunately, we don’t live in that world.”

Ellie Arroway says:
“Funny. I’ve always believed that the world is what we make of it.”

From Jess Apgar:

"... I served as an officer in the U.S. military for over 6 years.

This Veterans Day, I'm joining thousands of veterans across the country in sending a clear message: The military has no place policing civilians.

I work at the ACLU for the same reason I joined the military."

The anti-vax movement has been immune to appeals for community health since its inception.

That’s why the U.S. has laws around childhood vaccines for school entry. We must do everything we can to prevent further slippage.

We’re going to lose our measles elimination status just as Canada has.

In 2006, I presented an evening program at Capitol Reef National Park (USA), about history, prehistory and paleontology.

The "Keepers of Time" was a program concept that I presented versions of at the Grand Canyon NP, Joshua Tree NP & Canyonlands NP. It was easy to adapt to each park, 2006-2024.
