"Excuse me miss. I work for The US Defartment of Flatulation. The ordinance allows for just one fart per five minutes. Passing at rapid succession, is strictly forbidden."

E.O. Wilson, is one of Beach Boys?

The name sounds familiar.

I guess that the word passe is now passe.

The old cliché, is an old, and over-used phrase. "You know what they say. An old dog can't learn new tricks."

Passe, is out of fashion, literally and by definition?

How cool. I have heard about them before. Do the flies standby on the predator's body, or nearby?

I would love to see a female try to fly. 'Bonk' LOL.

The males fly like a helicopter in strong winds. They have such a different morphology than females.

As a preteen, I was interested in being a mantis biologist. I was fascinated how their morphology had been derived from roach ancestors.

Great photo, with so many spaced nicely within frame.

They're wonderful.

I wish that, the market for Eurasian & Carolina Mantises, was made illegal. Unless there's known consequences to breeding and release, I think it would be ideal for the gardens, where they are native too.

Females look capable of eating big grasshoppers.

That's wonderful

Is this the Arizona Stagmomantis?

A stouter abdomen, and thick pro-thorax. Big head. Native.
