Our nation's founders created a system to prevent the concentration of power. They designed our Constitution with explicit checks and balances, a framework now under direct assault. We are witnessing attempts to dismantle these safeguards, piece by piece. This isn't about partisan politics - it's about the survival of our constitutional system itself. This is the order of questions to ask deportation supporters when the shock and awe starts. I was surprised that the use of military and military funding was the clincher. But good to know.
