They were pretty good but that was just down at Freo harbour from one of the two fishing companies that have been there for YARS and YARS. Went there for my b-I-l’s birthday & thought I’d just get a salad and chips - was pleased to find they offered a vegan option.

I had to add an example so I didn’t sound like a wanker going on about some amazing dining experience. Those things are totally wasted on me.

I couldn’t comment: was last in UK in 2010 & can’t bring any food to mind. (That’s not a sly insult; food is only occasionally memorable to me, taste-wise. I remember it more as an occasion. Like the time before the NQ-mother & Bloody Ern were married & she made & sent me a cake for my birthday.)

All my neighbours have grass so…..I’m not sure. My front yard is mostly paved with pots and planter boxes and one big sandy area that I’m transforming into a native garden. The courtyard out the back is all paved so loads of potted plants there.
