Ever wondered how mammalian cells sense osmotic stress? There's gotta be a signaling pathway, right?

We propose a *one-component system*: NFAT5, the transcription factor that executes the osmoprotective response, is also the stress sensor!

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Dunno what they have planned, but a devastated NIH will destroy universities and academic science (on the heels of significant COVID impacts) but will also destroy biotech and cede US leadership in this sector to China and elsewhere very very quickly.
