it's so weird going back to a project you haven't touched for months
feels like you don't know what's going on and the code feels too overwhelming

proxmox has now crashed twice during this week (due to what I think is out-of-memory)
I guess it's still my fault, though, since my VMs use more RAM than what is available
...and I'm moving some of the VMs to a different distro during this

why does javascript make LINKS to object data instead of COPIES when I assign something the value of an object property???

today I learned that you can make multiple LDAP configurations in nextcloud... i wish I didn't have to though :P

now I just need to make the dotfiles readable...

actual kde app styling tip for when not using kde:
some kde apps don't follow qt styling (ex: dolphin and kate), which makes qt5ct/qt6ct not work
using qt5ct-kde or qt6ct-kde with a KColorScheme color scheme configures kde apps as well as qt apps in order to make them all be styled the same way

tip: if you're moving a folder with way too many small files (300k), just tar it and move the tar archive instead (doesn't even have to be compressed into gzip or similar)
it'll take a lot less time to "compress" *and* move than waiting for the folder transfer
