Some ghost signs I came across recently
A brick side wall with a large painted ghost sign which reads ‘NATURAL No1 processed PEAS” and the image of a tin of peas Sandygate Rd, Sheffield An old shop front, likely a newsagents with two ghost signs. One an orange card with white border with “PLAYERS” in diagonal blue letters. The other a bright red square w white border and bold white text reads “picture POST”. Both are in surprisingly good condition. Newbold Rd, Chesterfield The side of a building, possibly a grocers with painted ghost sign still visible which reads “J.W. YATES ask for HOVIS” Lostock Hall, Preston
