Just depends in London...on the bus route/type of bus (doors to exit are in the middle so you have to speak loudly), how crowded it is and who is on it!

Small joys of daily life: on a bus with woman next to me with small and quiet toddler in pushchair. As they got off, to my surprise and without any prompting, the child yelled out "thank you driver!"
