An analogy I've thought of recently is its a bit like people who treat whats now known as level 3 autism denying that anyone who has less support needs is autistic. They treat knowledge of what they study as a social contagion, a dangerous idea. Why wouldn't it be a spectrum

What modalities do they do? Do they practice trauma informed therapy? Have they worked with or are in community with the population they’re trying to serve?
