olay the real key to darius II / sagaia is to play as proco jr, i took no deaths until the final boss and was fully powered up shooting what must have been 40 projectiles every few frames very quickly
the jump start proco jr gets over tiat young is way more significant than it seems

finally CLAAAAWED my way through genesis darius II (sagaia, w/e), after abandoning an all down stage route for all up
i can get through most stages with the base proco jr. ship but the 7th stages seem to love cranking up the "throw a bunch of shit on screen" dial while giving you one (1) powerup

beat the first pyramid magic, it's fun! a standout of the toshokan games i've played so far! it really got me thinking despite the facade of simplicity from having all the mechanics introduced at the very beginning, and i'm looking forward to seeing if the difficulty of the next games meets the hype

only the front of the box is badly sunbleached so for $25 i think this was a good deal

did another playthrough of chaotix after several years and i had... more fun than last time, exclusively flinging myself through each level
the timer must not count time spent in special stages cause i needed like 12 tries and did a few wireframe ones. i also had to redo an amazing arena stage lmao

interesting that the saves still held up, and one of them has a "can't be that bad" clear time under 90 minutes on it, they had 3 (but not all) of the chaos rings so it probably could have been even better

i don't know why i've beaten 4 different GBA yugioh games this year, they just kept getting more irritating... at least reshef of destruction was comical in it's hatred of the player
