With the #mtg Spongebob UB Secret Lair... I unlocked a part of my brain palace to remember this regarding Patrick Star being a vanilla 6/5 for 7 mana (Barktooth Warbeard) with numbers 5/6/7... this HAS to be on purpose right... RIGHT?! (see yt clip)

I attempted Alphonse Mucha / art nouveau but Art Deco instead. Don't think I quite nailed what I envisioned, but I'm satisfied w/ result. I'll revisit it eventually, but I wanted to finish Queenie+Tadgh for a while.

A work in progress. The background is an ominous, sultry cloudy night sky with silhouettes of buildings of NYC's Manhattan skyline. The foreground has 2 vampires cropped so we only see their faces, and it's only line work right now: a man wearing glasses, his button-down shirt already open. His hand peeks from the bottom of the frame, seductively wrapping around a woman's neck. Their faces are close with sultry, hungry looks in their eyes. Her hair is in a 1920s fashion, and a large art-deco earring hangs from her exposed ear. One of her hands grips around his shoulder, long nails digging into his shirt; the other extends out of an art deco frame, gripping it for support (and breaking the "4th wall" of the piece). Cropped pieces of a textured art-deco style frame intend to wrap the composition.
