Oh, dang. It's Thanksgiving. Happy Turkey Day, y'all!
I actually forgot since we aren't doing Friendsgiving until Saturday in Taiwan since we work Thursday and Friday.

I hope your turkey is moist and politics are fun with your family.

Mom just messaged me in a panic because she can't find her mom's sweet potato casserole recipe.
Ya know I've got that saved all over the cloud and devices.

Also, I'm not sure why I do. It's so basic and I improvise it every year.
It begins with, "Boil potatoes, mash, and add a stick of butter."

This is so ridiculously impressive. The maps alone are awesome.
I've been following for a long time, and now I've got a camera. Many thanks for some ideas!
Spectral Codex just surpassed 5,000 mapped locations, most of them here in #Taiwan. Historical sites, abandoned places, photo hotspots, and more. Hundreds already include photos and field notes; many others are still simple stubs, awaiting further documentation.

Windy City Junipers

Hsinchu City is incredibly windy, which causes these juniper trees to grow contorted over the years.

I got the Canon 500D that I bought back in 2010 fully cleaned and refurbished.

I bought an adapter for my vintage Olympus Zuiko lenses, and now I can shoot digital with them.

It's pretty wild being able to see photos immediately.

Nailed it. The rare Hsinchu/Miaolio quake.

Earthquake just felt in Hsinchu. A little jolt, some vibration, but then it went away really quickly.

As I was typing this, there was a much bigger one lol.

When she was promoting her book "Pangolina" at Prague Zoo, Goodall even met with Šiška last May and greeted the little spruce cone as "a symbol of hope." It was her first face-to-face encounter with a #pangolin.

I need some audiobook recommendations now that I don't have baseball.

Audiobooks are great for motorbiking.
Music can just be too distracting, especially riding in Taiwan.

Project Hail Mary is an all time favorite.
Everything Is Tuberculosis was an incredible listen.

It's pretty wild that Taoyuan already called it a typhoon day for tomorrow. Why did they do that?! Lol

It's absurdly windy in Hsinchu right now and has been all day.

I want the day off, too!

Almost died 3 times while scootering to work this morning, and none of them related to Taiwan drivers.

Wind gusts in Hsinchu are absurd.
