🚗⚡️How will #EVs shape airborne tire pollution in the US over the next 20 years?

We estimated that by 2044, EVs could contribute up to 40% of #Tire Wear Particle emissions, with total EV-related TWP emissions rising 17-fold.

Assessing conditions favoring the survival of African dust-borne microorganisms during long-range transport across the tropical Atlantic
Forward trajectories of trans-Atlantic dust plumes were studied over a 14 year period (N ∼500 000) with a focus on ambient meteorological conditions affecting the survivability of the microorganisms c...

We provided the first evidence of atmospheric #microplastic deposition in “pristine” areas of eastern United States. We estimated that every year tons of tiny plastic fragments and fibers fall down in #Appalachia #OpenAccess in ES&T Air: go.acs.org/c5u #PlasticPollution
Atmospheric Deposition of Microplastics in South Central Appalachia in the United States
Due to the increased prevalence of plastic pollution globally, atmospheric deposition of microplastics (MPs) is a significant issue that needs to be better understood to identify potential consequence...
