Similar story for US textile weaving in Georgia, South Carolina...often the entire mill operation hinged on a single person's know how...usually on how to thread a semi-trailer sized frame.

I agree 100%. Americans need to demand more...general decency? We were once proud of our pseudo public bathrooms and AC...which are starting to disappearor are going downhill quickly...atleast in the midwest 🫤

Agreed, great bus transport is common in so many other places. I think the "greatest gen" accepted buses as they aged out of long distance drives, and I'm curious to see if boomers
will follow suit. The memory of picking up my great aunt-high as a kite- at a Greyhound stop makes me laugh.
