The news article headline is somewhat misleading, a record for December 1st maybe but daily records are completely useless.

It has been hotter at Perth AP earlier in November on 7 days. As far back as November 9th 2019 with 40c.

McCluer Island recorded a 83kmh/45kt gust early this morning. That breaks the 2016 76kmh November record at the station. POR 20yrs

Croker Island recorded 188.6mm yesterday- the 5th wettest November day on record in the NT!
