Anyway that's how I learned the way I think of fairness is systemic. It's not fair if it doesn't work for everyone. It's not fair if it relies on magical thinking and erasing the bits of work that get passed down the line. It's not fair for 4 employees to be lazy and one to have panic attacks.

"No special treatment" usually means "but I don't think this is my job" or "but I don't know how to do this" or even "but how will I explain this to my other employees" and those are all problems for a manager to solve, not their disabled employee. You don't need a checklist. You need a leader coach

I like to use "parent-first" language to talk about parents who are actually supportive and trying to do the best for their autistic kids. You know, they're not Autism Parents™, they're parents with autistic kids
