There's a different theme each year for World EBHC Day. For example, last year's theme highlighted the need for intersectoral collaboration to address the polycrisis - the interrelated and complex global challenges which threaten public health.

Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use #camelCase or #PascalCase in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have #DoctorWhoRewatch ("Doctor Who Rewatch") or #doctorwhorewatch ("doctor whore watch.")

To mark #MentalHealth Awareness month, we share a story of hope that comes out of the #HAB devastating #MarineLife in Australia. “Communities became the storytellers, scientists, and sentinels, sharing what they saw and what they knew."

The image shows several stylised, colourful silhouettes of human faces facing each other on both sides of the picture, with multiple speech bubbles of different colours in the space between them. The design suggests communication, collaboration, and exchange of ideas in a visually engaging and inclusive manner.

CREATING A VIDEO ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION
This guide is for published authors who would like to disseminate their research to a wider audience using digital media.

WHAT IS A VIDEO ABSTRACT?
A video abstract is like a movie trailer; it introduces a wide audience to a research paper. As with a movie trailer, a video abstract should be short, engaging and easy to understand while summarising key points of the research. A video abstract aims to pique interest and direct viewers to the published article.

Video abstracts are associated with an INCREASE in research reports citations, views and social media attention.

You don't necessarily want to use the exact same alt text each time a specific image is used. Alt text must consider the context of the image and why it's being included on a site, post, article, etc. In other words, alt text depends on where you're including the image and why.

If you have a hashtag with multiple words, write the hashtag in #PascalCase or #camelCase to help users of screen readers. That helps the screen reader to read out the words out individually, rather than trying to read them in one long word.

What happens after evidence is generated/published/disseminated?🤔

For 5+ years I’ve worked with JBI’s global evidence network to publish impact stories — powerful narratives of evidence driving real change

NEW

Researcher Profiles in Altmetric

Altmetric tracks research items and where they are mentioned or cited online. Searching by researcher name wasn't a feature unless you imported your own from a repository or CRIS

Today we are launching a global researcher search feature.

1/5
NEW – See the full picture of researcher influence
Discover Research Search, the new feature on Altmetric that allows users to access comprehensive researcher-level analytics, enabling them to view researcher attention within specific search results and identify top researchers in a field:

Search for researchers by name, or affiliation
Obtain impact data near real-time and almost immediately after publication
Get a comprehensive, real-time view of a researcher’s influence across policy, media, and professional networks
Export ready-to-share researcher profiles to support internal reporting, public dashboards, or strategic reviews

#SciComm peeps are invited to share a visual representation that addresses the #WorldEBHCDay 2025 theme, Collaborative Knowledge Communication. Your submission can be in any language, but an English transcript is needed with submission. See examples and how to submit: worldebhcday.org/visual-media

A JBI Best Practice Information Sheet accompanies the systematic review. This resource summarises the review to provide important details including the finding and conclusions of the review, as well as the recommendations for practice. #SciComm
An infographic is included in the JBI Best Practice Information Sheet (BPIS). The BPIS is a 4-page summary of a systematic review that considers not only Effectiveness, but also the Feasibility, Appropriateness, and Meaningful of an intervention. This is in line with the JBI approach, which is encapsulated in the JBI Model of EBHC. This infographic presents the findings of the systematic review. It displays Population, Phenomenon of research, Context/setting, Intervention, Oucome. Also qualitative findings and quantitative findings separately, then integrated. Recommendations for practice are listed.
