So some Americans deep fry their turkeys - I think it started in Louisiana. Imagine lowering a 7 kilo bird into a large container of boiling oil. It’s done outside over a propane gas flame. I don’t think it’d as popular as it was at one time. Anyway there were A LOT of accidents.

My mom is generally a great cook but she’s been making this gravy for decades so it’s not likely to change.

So giblets is the collective noun for poultry internal organs? Hmmm. I’m not opposed to nose to tail, but the gravy part of the equation is a pale viscous goo that’s really unappetizing.

Gravy, because my mom makes it with giblets. I never gave figured out what those are but it’s gross.
