Technosocialist. I want to decentralize the cloud and reinvent the browser for web apps.
In sociocracy, the general circle can always determine that a subcircle is out of line, and revoke its power to stop it.

Sociocracy is a good instantiation of omnarchy, because power stems from the general circle before it's delegated to subcircles, and is always revokable.

Democracy is broader, imo. Representative democracy isn't omnarchy for instance, but the general principle of governance by the people is.

I've got a series of blog posts about a better DID method than PLC, a modification to AT Proto to support DID migration, and a way to incrementally introduce that modification. Still working on the third in that series.

Noticing that "government on atproto" and "atproto on government" might be subtly different things

Government controlled PLC, at least, is bad unless it's possible to migrate away from it, because governments can betray you.

A government controlled relay could be fine, but it should be an addition, not a replacement.

They are if the user grabs a piece made by someone else that handles shared data

If they had just done things slightly differently in the beginning, as I explain here, changing your DID would be easy, even with AT URIs referencing your DID. And they should have, given that PLC was originally a placeholder.

Decentralizing AT Proto is hard
Why we are (probably) stuck with PLC

That's inaccessible to most users, costs money, and you can't move to it from plc. In fact, you can't migrate DIDs at all, due to early architectural decisions.

There is only one method, you can't move off of it, and it's centralized. You don't have a decentralized identifier here, you have an AT Proto account. The data sovereignty is still great and I'm not going anywhere, but it's time to be honest about the lack of identity sovereignty.

Example: If a write operation requires a capability, you can pull that requirement up through the signal graph to the save button that ultimately triggers it, and disable the button if the capability is revoked.

Now that this shape works, I can get to work on adding more shapes, and building up a solid procedural graphics renderer :D

I wonder if the primary function of the brain is to make perception perceptible. Perhaps sentience is part of the fabric of the universe, but to achieve consciousness requires a complex configuration of matter to function as a lens putting perception into sharp enough focus to be perceived.
