🧐 NBER study may have overestimated Brexit hit, apparently, because "a good deal of this effect will have been due not so much to Brexit as such, but the long period of uncertainty after the vote". 🤣

But that uncertainty was a predictable product of Brexit. Why should it be discounted? ~AA

This story more than any other disgusts me.

Yinka was a little 9 year old boy

Farage was a swaggering bully aged 17

We all knew those bullies at school and in this case teenager Farage was a racist bully too
Yinka Bankole was 12 when Farage spotted him in the playground:

“He towered over me. ‘Where are you from?’ he asked. Within seconds of offering my rather confused and sputtering answers, he had a clear response: ‘That’s the way back to Africa,’.”

Nothing says “Man of the people” more than Farage jetting off to Dubai for the weekend to watch F1 Season Final in the Paddock where tickets cost from £4,500 to over £10,000

He couldn’t watch it among the plebs there or at home like normal people..

But hey that’s #FaragePlasticToTheCore🙄

The calls from America this weekend to "abolish the EU" are for one simple reason: the EU is the only thing that can keep European nation-states from becoming Russian or American vassals.
The US has declared rhetorical war on the EU
The calls from America this weekend to destroy the EU are revealing. They hate the union because it's the only thing that can keep European countries from being Russian or American vassals.

There is a crisis in our courts that is a legacy of the last government but I am sceptical cutting jury cases the way to fix it - investing in the people needed to oversee cases vital to tackle backlog of cases and ensure justice is not denied to any victim nor any defendant wrongly imprisoned.

In the last month we have handled 754 cases for local residents- this is a snapshot of just 20 of them. It’s not the full list of everything we have done and can’t follow up issues for anyone who isn’t a Walthamstow resident but if you are a resident please do get in touch if you think we can help.
