Part of making art, for me, is reclaiming control over my autonomy. Planting a flag on my thoughts, my self-perception, my emotions themselves.

I don’t make my art for shock value. I don’t do it to offend. I’m screaming, asserting myself, making my life known.

Funny, the consistent experience that I hear from every single "gifted kid" I've ever met, including myself, is that being placed into the social category of "gifted kid" and having higher expectations placed on us fucked us up for life and destroyed our emotional stability
