I was born in 1989. When I was a kid in the '90s, AIDS was like the devil being real. It was everywhere, in the media, an invisible taint in the blood, a giant collective trauma. That wore off, and now we're going back into the meat grinder. Completely pointless, cruel, and insulting to everyone.
