yup, 25% of players on retro achievements don't get past Solvaring, and you have to keep in mind that players using this site are usually hardcore retro nerds

sometimes I get comments like this that just make me feel sad for the person more than anything else. it's very "mean kid kicking your sand castle you just finished" vibes. I don't want that in my community.

One thing I'm definitely going to make sure I correct in 2026 is use my GoG account more. I have so many... good old games in here that I keep forgetting about. Cold Fear just got added through the Preservation Program!

my most anticipated game of 2026 is indeed Slain 2, a metal af indie. The original Slain is still one of my favorite experiences I've had on the Switch. I am going to absolutely mess this game up when it comes out.

I also really want to revisit Romancing SaGa 2, and get in the right mindset for Expedition 33. Slain 2 should release next year, which is currently my most anticipated 2026 title.

This year, I must've started like 8 Castlevanias. I told myself, "I've GOT to beat at least ONE of these." I decided to go with what was most immediately fun for me -- Aria of Sorrow. Well, I beat it tonight, got the true ending!... And I think this is one of those rare perfect games. 🦇 Impeccable.
